Ashleigh walked, stumbling frequently because of her heels, as she made her way through the grass covered tarain of the park. She was alone for once, no so-called friends tagging along. Ashleigh just had to get away, and think. Just to think about her life, and all that fun stuff. She reached her destination, the swing set, and went to the nearest swing. She grimanced and whiped the dust off of it. Then Ashleigh sat down and sighed wearly. She missed her old school, the old park where she used to play at oh so often. Although Ashleigh felt no heart ach for her "friends" left behind. It became obvious on the day that Ashleigh left that they were only friends with her to become popular.
She pushed the swing back and forth with her feet, dragging them in the soft sand beneath. Ashleigh was so amused with this that she only heard the foot steps coming toward her when they were already close. She looked up.

Nate was walking in the park as he wanted to go for a walk but he didn't want to get into a fight so he headed to the park as he pulled out a pack of cigarette and pulled one out as he put the pack back in his pocket as he pulled out a lighter and lit the cigarette as he continued to walk for him to slide the lighter back in his pocket. Nate saw someone on the swing set as he walked over to her, Nate looked at her when she looked up at him "Would you like some company miss" Nate said taking a puff of his cigarette s he blew th smoke away from her.

When Ashleigh lookedup, she saw a young man smoking a cigarette. Ashleigh was surprised when he asked her if she wanted some company, because most people she knew, or saw on the streets, that smoked were usually rude people. "Yeah, sure," Ashleigh said. "My name is Ashleigh, whats yours?" She usually didn't even look at strangers, let alone talk to them, but he made her feel like being herself, like he was someone that could be her true friend, when all these years one else could.

Nat sat down by the swing as he switched the cigarette so it was facing away from Ashleigh. Nate smiled when she introduced herself "Nice to meet you Ashleigh, my name is Nate Grey" Nate said holding his hand out so he could shake it "So why are you out here all alone when people could get up to a lot of things with you when you are alone with no one here with you" Nate said as he did want to know her more

Ashleigh smiled as she shook Nate's hand. She sighed as he asked her why she was here all alone. "I don't have any real friends, that want to hang out with me because I'm... me. All of them see me as a rich, popular ladder that they can climb to get to the top." There. She finally told someone about her true feelings, and she felt better already. "What about you, what are you doing here all alone?" Ashleigh questioned, hoping to find out at least a little more about him.

"Some things are better to be done alone. Why don't I be a true friend for you as I don't think that no one likes you for being yourself as I bet there are a few people that like you for being yourself" Nate said taking another puff of his cigarette as he stood up on the swing and looked up at the sky as his spare hand held onto the top of the swing set.

"I'd like that," Ashleigh said, smiling inwardly. She finally had made a friend, and so fast, too. Although it was too bad she couldn't be like this all the time. Ashleigh still had a reputation to keep, and couldn't let down her guard with just anyone, although with Nate, she was sure she could, even just for a little while.
[SOOOO sorry it took so long!!!]

"Do you have any friends closer to your age or am I the only true friend you have at the moment Ashleigh" Nate said guessing that Ashleigh is younger than him "If you need someone to talk to you can call me and I will come" Nate said smiling at her as he held his thumb at her "By the way I was wondering how old are you Ashleigh" Nate said taking another puff of his cigarette as he put it out on the swing set until it was totally out then he put it in the bin and walked back to Ashleigh
