Beau is on the whole kind, he does try hard to make everyone laugh and be the ref between bickering friends... But that is what he aspires to be-- not actually what he always comes across as. He is the king os snide remarks, queen of gossip, princess of flirtation and prince of vanity.
First lets touch on his kingdom first of all. Beau pulls most of his humor from his wit, and his wit tends to be directed towards laughing at others. He is funny-- but for the wrong reasons. You know, he's the friend that points out people across the room to laugh at their hair that day. He does do this for a reason-- not because he is insecure because Beau lives up to his last name-- but because it was all he was ever taught. And when mommy says it is ok then it must be.
Next he gossips, much for the same reason. It is what he knows, he does not share his emotions but spits back a report of someone else's. It is also a thrill, sharing a secret-- the adrenaline from the whispers as someone walks by. It was his drugs before he found out what real drugs were. While he knows about those now, he keeps his old adrenaline rush around-- for the comfort of the old high.
Third he flirts. His second adrenaline rush, much more effective than the rush of gossip. He rush from being accepted-- and with acceptance comes kissing and from kissing comes groping and from groping-- well greater things come with that. And rejection? Well rejection surfs him down to a low, a low where he feels like he is sinking-- thats a good feeling too... anything to feel.
And lastly-- Beau knows he looks good. He actually loves the way he looks-- he has no time for imperfections. He must look good- for the world has proved time and time again that we are judged on looks alone and so Beau has mastered this aspect of his life and become very vain in the process.
Now those are the four core things that fuel his personality. He can be kind and compassionate, his personality does change towards some people and does harden towards others.
History-
All Beau remembers of his childhood is mommy never being home, and daddy always playing his games with the maids. He lived in a big house where it was easy to get away from it all, but not that easy. When he turned nine and mommy found out about the maids, daddy found out about a new way to feed his sick imagination. Mommy found out two years later and packed up her stuff. She didn't leave though-- there is no leaving daddy. So mommy brought him everywhere with her. Every party, every meeting, every club. He was twelve when he tasted hard liquor the first time. He was fourteen when he stuck his first needle in his arm. He was fifth teen when he decided he was gay. He was sixteen when daddy kicked him out. He couldn't take it when his son, his strapping young lad announced he was gay. I guess dear old dad could not begin to cope with the fact that he had a hand in his son's sexual "confusion". Dear old mom didn't say anything about it because she was away from home trying to hard to forget.
So Beau moved here, living off checks from dad to keep him quiet-- anything to keep this hushed up. So Beau came into a place where he could feed his addiction and live like he wanted. And he has been doing that for a year now-- and it's been going alright... If you can living on the edge alright... In reality Beau is searching-- searching for someone to tell him it's alright to not live this way-- love him in the way his parents didn't.
